Grow a Chicken Fighter Every Egg and Who Lays It

Eggs are the skill tree of Grow a Chicken Fighter. Each egg is laid by a specific chicken, and each hatch table contains the next layer. You do not “buy endgame.” You park the right bird, wait, hatch, and keep the layer that unlocks the next egg. Offline laying makes this work while you are away, so the coop you leave behind matters as much as the PIT fight you take.

The Haunt chain (do this first)

This is the combat spine most accounts should follow:

1. Nest Egg — Classic Rooster lays this at 100%. Hatch until Cosmo Brat (~10%). Farmer Rooster (18%) is a weaker Scratch backup. Viking Rooster (2%) is a rare bonus.
2. Scratch Egg — Cosmo Brat lays this at 100%. Hatch until Slugger Hen (~8%). Scratch Egg also rolls Sergeant Hen (Thunder Egg), NPC Chick (Cursed Egg), Bow Chick (Charm Egg), Pizza Rooster (Diner), and Taser Hen (Circuit). Keep those side layers if they drop, but do not abandon Slugger Hen.
3. Arena Egg — Slugger Hen lays this at about 75%. Hatch until Creepy Clown (~11%). Strike Hen, Enforcer Rooster, Southpaw Hen, Winger Hen, and Sumo Rooster are 100% Arena Egg layers — keep one so you can stop relying on 75% Slugger Hen.
4. Haunt Egg — Creepy Clown lays this at about 75%. Hatch until Zombie Chick (~23%), which lays Haunt Egg at 100%. Then farm Haunt Egg for Doll Hen (~2%, Voodoo) and Reaper Rooster (under 1%). Bone Rooster and Jack Rooster are 100% Haunt backups if Zombie Chick is slow to appear.

Park Zombie Chick and never fuse your only copy. Doll Hen is a skill donor, not a PIT starter. Reaper Rooster is the Slot A base you want Voodoo on. That pair is the Haunt payoff.

How to get every egg in Grow a Chicken Fighter

Thunder Egg (parallel combat branch)

Claim the community Thunder Egg from the group rewards tab on day one, and redeem LETMECOOK / EGGSCELLENT when those codes are live. Sergeant Hen lays Thunder Egg at 100% (Scratch Egg ~8% to hatch her). Thunder Egg’s combat rolls include Commando Rooster (~12%) and Astro Chick (~11%). Static Chick, Frostbite Hen, Quake Rooster, Tsunami Hen, and Thunderclap are 100% Thunder Egg layers — park them.

Astro Chick is also the on-ramp to Void Egg (about 70% lays). Void Egg is how you hunt Nebula Hen later. Commando Rooster leans into Ordnance Egg as well. Thunder Egg is not a detour; it is a second spine you run beside Haunt.

Fortune, Cursed, Blazing, Ascension

• Fortune Egg — Baron Cluck lays this at 100% (Arena Egg or Royal Egg hatch, Mythic). Golden Goose is the Secret 1% Fortune roll and a 25% Blazing Egg roll. Park both in the incubator. Fortune Egg is mostly Founder Rooster and Baron Cluck — a money layer, not a PIT slot.
• Cursed Egg — NPC Chick lays this at about 80% (Scratch Egg ~12% to hatch NPC Chick). Hunt 404 Chick (Secret, under 1%). 404 Chick lays Cursed Egg at 100%, so the chain becomes self-sustaining after the first copy. Fuse Cycle of Ash onto 404 Chick, not the other way around.
• Blazing Egg — no chicken lays this. It drops from the Hot Event in the center ring (carry it until the timer ends) or from occasional codes. The pool is stacked: Golden Goose, 404 Chick, Doll Hen, Reaper Rooster, Aurora Hen, and more. Treat every Blazing Egg as a jackpot hatch, not a vendor dump.
• Ascension Egg — milestone egg from Rebirth 10 / 100 / 250 and from high Arena ranks after Rebirth 5 unlocks Arena. Do not plan your first week around it.

Royal, Charm, Void, and the rest

• Royal Egg — Crest Rooster (~60%), Founder Rooster, Basilisk Rooster, Valkyrie Hen. Hunt Nine-Tail Hen (Foxfire donor, ~2%) and other late cosmetics. BATTLEREADY sometimes grants a Royal Egg directly.
• Charm Egg — Bow Chick (~70% from Scratch Egg). Fashion branch; Ballerina Hen leads toward Bloom. Optional until Haunt and Thunder are parked.
• Void Egg — Astro Chick (~70%), Moonwalk Hen, Probe Rooster. Cosmic Nebula Hen sits near 1%.
• Side eggs you will see while hunting the spine: Circuit (Taser Hen), Diner (Pizza Rooster), Fang (Spider Chicken), Ordnance (Commando Rooster), Bloom (Ballerina Hen). Farm them only when the matching layer is already sitting idle.

Incubator and 100% layers

The incubator is for birds that actually finish an egg. Park 100% layers: Cosmo Brat (Scratch), Sergeant Hen or Static Chick (Thunder), Zombie Chick (Haunt), Baron Cluck / Golden Goose (Fortune), 404 Chick (Cursed), Moonwalk Hen (Void). A 75% Creepy Clown can stay until Zombie Chick exists, then retire the clown to a backup slot.

Do not hatch every egg the second it drops if you are mid-PIT streak with 2x Money running — cash first, then hatch. Do not feed a unique layer into fusion. Duplicate the layer, lock Lays onto a fighter if you must, and keep one copy producing. Grudge Egg is currently unobtainable; ignore it until a patch brings it back.
