Grow a Chicken Fighter The five builds that matter
S+ natives first, then the Haunt and Cursed fusions that still carry mid-game.
These are the Grow a Chicken Fighter loadouts worth finishing in September 2026. Promotions & Charms pushed Eclipse Hen, Ace Rooster, and Angel Chicken to S+. Reaper x Voodoo and 404 x Cycle of Ash are no longer the ceiling — still build them, because Haunt and Cursed are farmable and Ascension is not. Fusion means stronger base + locked donor skill. See fusion, egg routes, and the tier list. Pick one build per session; splitting genes across five almost-carries stalls Tower.
1. Eclipse Hen — keep Black Sun Cataclysm
Job: best Tower, PIT event, and Arena bird. Hatch: Ascension Egg, 1% (Skycrest Rooster 55%, Halo Hen 27%, Oracle Chick 12%, Seraph Rooster 5% are the other rolls). Skill: native Black Sun Cataclysm, about 1040% if the string completes, constant knockback. Do not fuse this copy as food. If you hatch a second Eclipse Hen, that duplicate can donate Black Sun Cataclysm to Ace Rooster or Angel Chicken.
Play it in every mode. Promotions and Charms stack on this body first. The bottleneck is the egg, not the kit, so spend Rebirth stones and Arena trophies on Ascension Eggs instead of gambling more Haunt Eggs once this bird exists.
2. Ace Rooster — highest attack, borrowed skill
Job: raw attack carry. Hatch: Trick Egg, under 1%. Trick Eggs come from Catalyst Hen (Colossus Egg under 1%, then 2% Trick / 98% Colossus lays). Ace itself lays Trick at 40%, so the first Ace becomes the farm. Skill: native kit is the weak point. Lock Black Sun Cataclysm or Reaction Ring from a duplicate Eclipse Hen or Catalyst Hen.
Ace Rooster is the Promotions poster child: huge base attack, huge Inverted Mutation scaling. It is not “better than Eclipse Hen” until the skill is replaced. If you only have one Catalyst Hen, park it for Trick Eggs before you spend it as a donor.
3. Angel Chicken — Arena first, PIT after a lock
Job: 3v3 and trophy climb. Hatch: Blessed Egg, 1%, usually from Admin Abuse. Skill: heal passive is why it is S+ in Arena. For Tower bosses and PIT events, add Black Sun Cataclysm or Reaction Ring the same way you upgrade Ace. If you are pushing Arena this week, leave the heal on and let knockback specials wait.
Angel Chicken already beats most Secrets on stats. Treat it as a finished Cosmic, not as a donor.
4. Reaper Rooster + Voodoo — the Haunt carry you can actually farm
Job: realistic account carry until S+. Hatch: Haunt Egg under 1% (Blazing Egg ~2% during Hot Event). Doll Hen is Haunt ~2%. Fuse: Reaper Rooster + Doll Hen, lock Voodoo. Reflect plus multi-hit on a huge stat stick is still S. It is not S+.
Haunt farm, short form: Nest → Cosmo Brat → Scratch → Slugger Hen → Arena → Creepy Clown → Haunt → Zombie Chick 100% Haunt → fuse Zombie Chick timers → Doll Hen and Reaper Rooster. Full steps are on egg routes. If you fuse without locking Voodoo, you spent the Doll Hen for a cosmetic Reaper. Cancel and click the lock.
Keep it after you own Eclipse Hen as the backup PIT bird when the S+ copy is busy.
5. 404 Chick + Cycle of Ash — Cursed PIT specialist
Job: PIT trades and a second scaling body. Hatch: Cursed Egg under 1% (Blazing Egg ~8%, the kinder roll). Radiant Fenghuang is Royal Egg 1%. Fuse: 404 Chick + Radiant Fenghuang, lock Cycle of Ash. Heal plus burst on a Secret that already scales like Reaper.
Cursed farm, short form: Scratch → NPC Chick (80% Cursed) → Stone Face 100% Cursed → fuse Stone Face for speed → 404 Chick. Royal farm for the donor: Scratch → Crest Rooster → Rooster of Fortune 100% Royal → Radiant Fenghuang. Same lock discipline as Voodoo.
September lists demoted this pairing from “the meta” to “still S.” That is a compliment, not a delete. You can finish this build without waiting for Rebirth 10.
Community lead: Storm Colossus + Foxfire
Storm Colossus already has S+ Stormcall. The lead is to lock Foxfire from Nine-Tail Hen (Royal 2% / Blazing 3%) onto that body. Test it on a duplicate if you can. Do not overwrite your only Stormcall copy because a screenshot said so. Colossus Eggs come from Founder Rooster, Seraph Rooster, Puzzle Hen, and related late layers.
What to start this session
- No S bird yet: Haunt or Cursed. Haunt if you have Creepy Clown. Cursed if you have NPC Chick or Stone Face. Finish Reaper x Voodoo or 404 x Ash before you daydream about Trick Eggs.
- Have Reaper or 404 fused: stop feeding them. Park 100% layers and hunt Colossus / Ascension / Blessed.
- Hatched Eclipse Hen, Ace Rooster, or Angel Chicken: that bird is the carry today. Read chicken tiers before you touch the fuse button.
- Two carries already: put the S+ in Tower and Arena, put Reaper or 404 in the idle PIT, and let layers run overnight.
A “best fighter” is a job plus a lock, not a rarity badge. If the fuse preview does not show Voodoo, Cycle of Ash, Black Sun Cataclysm, Reaction Ring, or the Foxfire test, you are not building one of the five loadouts on this page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, fusion, eggs, and Tower climbs.
Which build should a new player start?
Reaper x Voodoo or 404 x Cycle of Ash. Both are farmable from Haunt and Cursed eggs. Eclipse Hen and Ace Rooster are S+ but gated behind Ascension and Trick eggs.
How do I fuse Reaper x Voodoo?
Open Flock, pick Reaper Rooster and Doll Hen, click Fuse, lock Doll Hen’s Voodoo, then confirm. Skipping the lock can keep Reaper’s native skill and waste the donor.
Is 404 x Ash dead after Promotions & Charms?
No. It is no longer the ceiling. It is still the correct Cursed-route carry and a strong PIT bird while you hunt Eclipse Hen.
Does Eclipse Hen need a fusion?
No. Keep Black Sun Cataclysm on the first copy. Only a duplicate Eclipse Hen should donate that skill to Ace Rooster or Angel Chicken.
Where does Storm Colossus plus Foxfire fit?
It is a community lead on an S body. Stormcall is already S+. Test Foxfire if you have spares; do not spend your only Storm Colossus on a screenshot.
Can I run two carries at once?
Yes. Put the S+ bird in Tower and Arena, leave Reaper or 404 in the idle PIT, and keep layers in the incubator. Do not split gene food evenly.
