Getting Started in Grow a Chicken Fighter

Codes, community Thunder Egg, cheap flock, one PIT fighter, then fusion — not Rebirth.

Getting Started

Grow a Chicken Fighter launched on Roblox on June 16, 2026. Servers hold eight players. The loop is hatch eggs, grow one fighter, farm the PIT for cash, climb the TOWER, fuse a donor skill, then Rebirth for permanent multipliers. Chickens keep laying while you are offline, so the first session is about starting that machine — not maxing a Common or pressing Rebirth because the button lit up.

Finish the tutorial, then redeem codes

The ticket icon stays locked until you hatch, complete one fuse, and fight. After it appears, open codes and redeem every live string. Typical early codes:

  • WELCOME — cash plus a Nest Egg
  • LETMECOOK — cash, a Thunder Egg, and 2x Money
  • SERGIOVERSE — cash, a Scratch Egg, and 2x Corn
  • EGGSCELLENT — cash, a Thunder Egg, and 2x Corn
  • BATTLEREADY — Charm Dust, a Royal Egg, and hatch luck

Codes are case-sensitive. Use 2x Money and 2x Corn while you hatch and fight, not while AFK. After codes, open Rewards → Community and claim the free Thunder Egg from the group. That second combat roll is the difference between a Static Chick layer and a Commando Rooster or Astro Chick sitting in the PIT before the grind starts.

Hatch a cheap flock, not one pet

Spend starting cash on several Nest Eggs plus the Scratch Egg from SERGIOVERSE. You want bodies in the coop. Every parked chicken lays while you run the PIT. One expensive hatch with an empty coop is slower than five Commons producing Nest Eggs.

Keep Cosmo Brat if it appears (about 10% from Nest Egg). Cosmo Brat lays Scratch Eggs at 100%. That is the on-ramp to Slugger Hen and the Haunt chain. Full drop tables live in the Egg Guide. Farmer Rooster is a weaker Scratch backup. Check lays on Viking Rooster before you dump it.

Park 100% layers as soon as you own them. Later, Baron Cluck and Golden Goose go in the incubator for Fortune Eggs. Do not sell a 100% layer because its Attack looks low. Attack is a feeding problem, not a laying problem.

One PIT fighter, protect the streak

Send one strongest chicken into the PIT. Streaks raise payouts. A second bird that loses the streak costs more than it earns. Pick opponents you can beat. If a fight looks close, skip it. The PIT is your active cash engine; the coop is the idle engine. They should not compete for the same chicken.

Feed that PIT bird constantly. Feeding grows HP and Attack. Do not plan to fuse those stats later. Fusion is for Speed, Power, and the skill. Cash from the PIT should buy feeder upgrades and more eggs, not a vanity hat. Boost timing and streak math live on how to make money.

When to fuse (and what not to donate)

Fuse after you have a stable PIT streak and a donor you can afford to lose. Slot A is the chicken you keep — name and stats stay. Slot B donates the skill. You get two free locks: lock Skill first, Lays second. Never lock HP or Attack. Never donate your only Cosmo Brat, Slugger Hen, Creepy Clown, Zombie Chick, or Sergeant Hen. Read the Fusion Guide and check the preview before you confirm. Cost scales with level, so fuse when the skill is ready, not after you overfed a donor you plan to delete.

A good first fuse is a Thunder Egg lays trait onto a bird you already like, so one chicken fights and still produces Thunder Eggs. A bad first fuse is eating your only Scratch Egg layer for a cosmetic hat.

When NOT to Rebirth

Do not Rebirth in the first session. Rebirth is a stall tool: when shop upgrades take too long to buy, you reset for permanent multipliers. If upgrades still purchase in a few PIT wins, keep going. Arena unlocks at Rebirth 5, which is a mid-game gate, not a day-one goal. Climb the TOWER while fights stay fast, then stop at a wall and farm. Elevator skip, boss skills, and Rebirth floor gates are on the Tower Guide.

Your flock survives Rebirth. Cash and coop upgrades do not, so spend leftover cash on eggs and fusion only after the shop has actually stalled.

First-hour checklist

  1. Tutorial until the ticket icon appears.
  2. Redeem every code on codes.
  3. Claim the community Thunder Egg.
  4. Hatch cheap Nest Egg and Scratch Egg pulls; keep Cosmo Brat.
  5. Send one PIT fighter and protect the streak.
  6. Fill the coop before you log off so eggs keep dropping.
  7. Fuse only with a spare donor; lock Skill and Lays.
  8. Ignore Rebirth until the shop crawls.

If Thunder Egg hatches Commando Rooster or Astro Chick, that bird becomes the PIT carry. If it hatches Static Chick, park it as a Thunder Egg layer and keep farming. Either result beats ignoring the community egg. The rest of this wiki assumes you did this hour. Skip it and you will Rebirth too early, fuse your only Cosmo Brat, or send three weak birds into the PIT and break the streak that pays for the next egg.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, fusion, eggs, and Tower climbs.

Where is the codes button?

Finish the tutorial hatch, fuse, and fight. The ticket icon then appears in the top-left. Codes are case-sensitive.

Should I Rebirth on day one?

No. Wait until shop upgrades take too long to buy. Arena unlocks at Rebirth 5, which is not a first-session goal.

Why only one chicken in the PIT?

Win streaks raise cash. A weaker second fighter that loses the streak costs more than it earns. Send your single strongest bird.

What do I do with the community Thunder Egg?

Claim it from Rewards → Community after joining the group. Hatch it for Commando Rooster, Astro Chick, or a Thunder Egg layer such as Static Chick.

Which chickens should I never fuse away?

Your only Cosmo Brat, Slugger Hen, Creepy Clown, Zombie Chick, Sergeant Hen, and later Baron Cluck or Golden Goose. Keep 100% layers parked.

What should I hatch first?

Cheap Nest Eggs and the Scratch Egg from codes. Hunt Cosmo Brat, then follow the Egg Guide into Arena Egg and Haunt Egg.
