Skills decide fights in Grow a Chicken Fighter more often than rarity does. Fusion locks a donor special onto a stronger base, so Doll Hen can still define an account. September 2026 after Promotions & Charms: Black Sun Cataclysm, Reaction Ring, and Stormcall are S+. Rebirth, Voodoo, and Cycle of Ash are still S — not the only locks. Bodies: chicken tier list. Click order: fusion guide. Lock the skill, never overwrite Black Sun Cataclysm on Eclipse Hen, and treat donors as storage.

S+ — lock these onto your best body

Black Sun Cataclysm — Eclipse Hen. Tick damage plus a burst, knockback and knock-up, about 1040% if the full string completes. Best special in Tower, PIT events, and 3v3 Arena because it creates openings for teammates. Works on Ace Rooster and Angel Chicken too. If you hatch a second Eclipse Hen, you can donate the skill; if you have one, keep it native.

Reaction Ring — Catalyst Hen. Ranged AoE up to about 920%, traps the enemy so every tick lands, knocks them up so they cannot swing. Short cooldown. This is the “make Ace Rooster actually fight” skill and a PIT event monster. Catalyst Hen is also your Trick Egg layer, so duplicate copies are the only ones you should spend.

Stormcall — Storm Colossus. Five lightning bolts, the last one bursting in an 8-unit radius. Best native AoE for stacked PIT waves and Arena. Some players overwrite it with Foxfire from Nine-Tail Hen; that Storm Colossus + Foxfire fuse is a community lead, not a requirement. If you have no Nine-Tail Hen, Stormcall is already S+.

S — still the realistic endgame locks

Rebirth — Phoenix Hen (Royal Egg). On first death the bird revives at 50% HP, pops a burst, and stays invincible for a few seconds. Tower insurance. Great on any carry that dies to one boss pattern. Do not stack it on a bird that already never dies; the revive is the whole kit.

Voodoo — Doll Hen (Haunt Egg ~2%). Reflect plus a multi-hit burst. Best host is Reaper Rooster. This pairing carried August and still clears everything before S+. Lock Voodoo in the fuse menu; if you skip the lock you can keep Reaper’s native Haunt skill and waste the Doll Hen.

Cycle of Ash — Radiant Fenghuang (Royal Egg 1%). Heal over a few seconds plus a damage burst. Best host is 404 Chick; Nebula Hen is the backup host. Same lock rule: click Cycle of Ash before confirm. Radiant Fenghuang’s body is not the point.

Early-August guides stopped here. Promotions & Charms did not delete these locks; they added three S+ specials that win more Arena control and Tower damage.

A — keep on their own bird unless you lack S

Ride of the Fallen — Valkyrie Hen (Royal Egg). HoT plus a short ATK/SPD buff. Saves fragile mid-game birds. Do not overwrite Voodoo or Black Sun Cataclysm.

Blood Draw — Vampire Rooster (Haunt). Extra damage then a knockback burst. Reaper would rather hold Voodoo.

Split Image — Twin Rooster (Royal). A same-stat copy for a few seconds. Use it until you own an S lock; do not donate Twin Rooster into S+ bases.

B — early and mid, never the last fuse

Titan Mode — Alpha Rooster (also seen on Founder Rooster / Talon Titan kits). Size, attack, defense, and speed up for a short rampage. Fun on Founder Rooster in early Tower. A dead lock on Eclipse Hen or Ace Rooster because the window is too short for the body you just spent.

Za Warudo — Baron Cluck and Golden Goose. Time stop plus a burst while the enemy cannot move. Excellent beginner PIT tool. B as a destination skill because S+ knockback specials already create the same window and then keep dealing 900%+ after the freeze.

Foxfire (Nine-Tail Hen) is not in the old A/B tables. Treat it as a test lock on Storm Colossus, not as a default overwrite for Black Sun Cataclysm.

Click the donor skill before you pay. If the lock is not on the named special, cancel. Food is cheap; Secret bases are not. Steps: fusion. Loadouts: best fighters.

Mistakes that waste a Secret

Donate Black Sun Cataclysm only from a duplicate Eclipse Hen. Fuse Doll Hen without locking Voodoo and you wasted Haunt. Putting Titan Mode or Za Warudo onto 404 Chick “because it looked cool” is how you spend a Cycle of Ash hunt on a skill you will replace tomorrow.

If you are still on Scratch and Thunder, you do not need an S+ lock yet. Park layers, hatch the donor, then open fuse. Skill names stay English in every locale so the preview matches this page.
