Grow a Chicken Fighter Build a flock, not one bird
Carries fight. Donors lock skills. Layers feed eggs while you are offline.
Grow a Chicken Fighter is an 8-player Roblox idle fighter that launched on June 16, 2026. You do not win by hatching one pretty Secret and leaving it in the PIT forever. You win by giving every bird a job. This hub is the roster map: who fights, who donates a skill, who sits in the incubator, and which page to open next. Combat ranks live on the tier list. Finished loadouts live on best fighters. Hatch chains live on egg routes.
Chickens keep laying while you are offline. That is why a B-tier Cosmo Brat can be more important than a C-tier Farmer Rooster with slightly better punches. If you send your only layer into the PIT, the farm dies. If you park your only carry in the incubator, the Tower dies. Split the flock.
The three jobs
Carry. The bird you deploy. September 2026 carries are Eclipse Hen, Ace Rooster, and Angel Chicken at S+, then Reaper Rooster, 404 Chick, Nebula Hen, Kraken Chicken, Storm Colossus, and Catalyst Hen at S. One carry is enough until Arena asks for a team. Feed genes, Promotions, and Charms into that body. Do not rotate a new “main” every hatch.
Donor. A weak body with a skill worth locking. Doll Hen holds Voodoo. Radiant Fenghuang holds Cycle of Ash. Phoenix Hen holds Rebirth. Catalyst Hen holds Reaction Ring. Nine-Tail Hen holds Foxfire. Eclipse Hen holds Black Sun Cataclysm, but you only donate that from a duplicate. Donors do not need levels. They need to stay in the inventory until the fuse.
Layer. A bird whose lay chance is the product. Cosmo Brat is 100% Scratch. Sergeant Hen is 100% Thunder. Stone Face is 100% Cursed. Zombie Chick is 100% Haunt. Baron Cluck is 100% Fortune. Rooster of Fortune is 100% Royal. Fuse duplicates to cut timers, then park them. Combat stats on a layer are a bonus, not a reason to bench the carry.
What a healthy flock looks like
Early (Nest to Scratch): Classic Rooster out, Cosmo Brat in, Farmer Rooster as a temporary PIT body. You want Sergeant Hen, Slugger Hen, NPC Chick, and Crest Rooster as soon as Scratch allows.
Mid (Thunder, Arena, Royal, Cursed, Haunt): one fighting body (Astro Chick, Baron Cluck, or Founder Rooster), plus dedicated layers for the branch you are climbing. Haunt and Cursed are the two branches that produce real S carries. Fortune is the Golden Goose branch. Thunder is the Astro / Aurora / Prism / Founder branch.
Late (Ascension, Trick, Blessed, Colossus): the carry is Eclipse Hen, Ace Rooster, or Angel Chicken. Everything else is either a duplicate donor, a 100% layer, or food. Reaper x Voodoo and 404 x Ash stay on the bench as backup PIT birds; they are not trash, they are just not the September ceiling.
Roles the old lists mixed up
Early-August posts called Astro Chick the only S-tier chicken. That was a combat headline, and it is outdated. On this hub Astro Chick is an A-tier carry and an S-tier layer for Void Eggs. Cosmo Brat was never a fighter. Doll Hen was never a fighter. If a guide tells you to “main” Radiant Fenghuang, it is ranking the skill and forgetting the body. Open chicken tiers when you need the combat column and skill tiers when you need the lock column.
Inventory rules that save Secret hatches
- Never fuse your only copy of an S+ hatch.
- Never lock appearance before skill.
- Never put the carry and the only 100% layer in the same slot. PIT and incubator are different jobs.
- Redeem codes into Thunder and Blazing eggs, then hatch on the branch you actually need.
- After Rebirth, rebuild the layer park first. A naked carry with no eggs is a stalled account. See Rebirth.
Where to go from here
If you want a named loadout (Eclipse with Black Sun, Reaper plus Voodoo, 404 plus Cycle of Ash, Ace, Angel), open best fighters. If you want the exact Nest → Scratch → Haunt click path, open egg routes. If you are still learning the first hour, start at getting started and come back once Cosmo Brat is laying.
Assign jobs before you hatch the next egg. A flock with one carry, two donors, and four layers will beat a flock of seven “pretty fighters” that all share the same dead timer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, fusion, eggs, and Tower climbs.
What is the difference between a carry, a donor, and a layer?
The carry fights in the PIT, Tower, and Arena. The donor exists so you can lock its skill onto a better body. The layer sits in the incubator or coop and produces the next egg.
Should my PIT fighter sit in the incubator?
No. Incubator value is not combat value. Park Cosmo Brat, Stone Face, Zombie Chick, or Baron Cluck. Leave Eclipse Hen, Ace Rooster, or Reaper Rooster deployed.
How many chickens should I keep?
One main carry, every donor you have not fused yet, and one fused 100% layer per egg you still need. Extra copies are fuse food for timers, not extra mains.
Where are the hatch routes?
Egg routes covers Haunt, Thunder, Fortune, Ascension, and Cursed step by step, plus an overnight incubator park list.
Do chicken names change in other languages?
No. Keep chicken, skill, and egg names in English so they match the in-game fuse preview and egg index.
Is Astro Chick still the bird to build around?
No. Early-August S-only-Astro lists are outdated. Keep Astro Chick as a Void layer and move the carry job to Reaper, 404, or an S+ hatch.
